Spring 2009 Anime List – March/April/May

*Note: This list will continuously be updated as more premiere dates are announced. All recent activity concerning this post will be made public on Twitter.

Last Update: [04/04]

Personally looking forward to the new Fullmetal Alchemist series premiering in April. Also have taken an interest in how Phantom, Queen’s Blade, Shangri-La, and Pandora Hearts will turn out. However an anime involving characters playing basketball while riding mechs is definitely on my watch-list — just because of the concept alone…

    1. wooh, thanks for your list, as usual. I can use that to add the OVA section to the chart, which is actually influenced by this blog.

    3. Looks like there are tons of new anime that are waiting for us to watch for the next season installment. Can’t wait!~

Oh ya, I heard that Elfen Lied & Negima will have a new season this year. Can you confirm this?

    5. A question – those shows with one episode, like Kiniro no Corda, wouldn’t they be an OVA rather than a TV series?

Also, is Wolf and Spice really an OVA? I thought it had 13 episodes, making it more of a TV series…

    7. “Kiniro no Corda ~second passo~ Episode 1” is a TV special that will air on Kids Station March 26th; (midnight JST).

Also it was announced that a DVD special would be bundled with the “Ohkami to Kin no Mugiho” Spice and Wolf book coming out April 30th; [link]

    9. I know no one’s mentioned it much, but… everyone seems to be missing something. GUIN SAGA. Already, episode 1 has proven that this has got to be the best quality series on this list. I cried tears of joy watching all the way to the ending song. Simply amazing. Something worth looking at, even if it’s not on anyone’s “to watch” list. Seriously. For someone like me who has seen so many series, I can say this is the best anime I’ve seen in a long time.

I’m about to watch Higashi no Eden now, too.
