「Saimoe ‘12」 “Groups E & F – Day 2″ ~ Second Round Results

Winners: Sanya and Kirame.

Group E2-2 Results:

  • 1位 283票 Sanya V. Litvyak @ Strike Witches Movie
  • 2位 229票 Takatsuki Yayoi @ The iDOLM@STER
  • 3位 103票 Nagatsuki Sanae @ Shinryaku!? Ika Musume

Group F2-2 Results:

  • 1位 280票 Hanada Kirame @ Saki: Achiga-hen – Episode of Side-A
  • 2位 224票 Amami Haruka @ The iDOLM@STER
  • 3位 135票 Tanigawa Kanna @ Ano Natsu de Matteru

Today sees Sanya’s first time reserving her spot in round 3. After coming up short a few times already, she finally made it as the last witch standing in this year’s tourney. Sanya has already defeated Hinagiku in R1, so she has accomplished quite the handful so far.

The third Saki vs iM@S battle in Round 2 also took place. Subara~ won with flying colors against the singing talent Haruka; earning a total vote count of 280. Her successful run certainly is no accident as she has already prevailed over various strong opponents since the prelims. This also brings my record for correct R2 predictions so far to 17-3.

For today’s matches, I’m supporting both Rin and Nyaruko all the way. All eyes will be on F2-3 however as an intense match will unfold between 3 prelim winners: Group 9 winner (Nyaruko) vs Group 10 winner (Kuro) vs Group 11 winner (Ryuuka). Let the slugfest begin.

    1. Either this is payback for team Saki as a result of the first C and D second-round fight, or Yayoi just wasn’t strong enough to overtake Sanya.  The Orussian finally has broken through into round 3, and as she is the ensemble darkhorse of the 501, she can finally go on a run she was denied of in her two previous years.  Just like Miki, Haruka did prove her strength by leading the favorite Kirame for the first half before succumbing in the second.
The lower half of F has gone according to plan, with all five preliminary winners advancing into round 2.  It is time to put team Saki’s faith in their newer fighters to the test.  Who should they back to try to eliminate the favorite, Nyarlko?  Kuro is supposed to be stronger but has suffered backlash from her mahjong match in the show, while Ryuuka has merely peripheral support from Toki’s fans and has yet to see her full potential.  Indecision is a red flag for split votes.  The E match may come down to France against Okinawa.  Charlotte is still far and away the favorite, though Hibiki can still spring an upset via series momentum.

Remember our H.P. Lovecraft-sensei?  After a cameo appearance by their leader last year, Nyarlko looks set to be the most powerful dark horse in the tournament.  Her rival Cthulko is easily the next strongest, with a gap between them and the two who finished strong in weak first prelims, human Tamao and alien Ghutatan.  If Hastur-kun was eligible, he’d be highly ranked because Kugimiya voiced him.  Now armed with a second season next year, team Nyaru-ani hopes that this year is the start of a deep run for their two leads.

    2. fak this. it’s even worst than past year… moetron is great as aways with the news but… the tournament sucks… i will start my own tournament…
