「Saimoe ‘12」 “Groups C & D – Day 1″ ~ Third Round Results

Winners: Hisa and Louise.

Group C3-1 Results:

  • 1位 334票 Takei Hisa @ Saki: Achiga-hen – Episode of Side-A
  • 2位 272票 Kuuko @ Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

Group D3-2 Results:

  • 1位 306票 Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière @ Zero no Tsukaima F
  • 2位 269票 Sanzen’in Nagi @ Hayate no Gotoku! Heaven Is a Place on Earth

The Saki faction continues to be a real force to be reckoned with. Kuuko just couldn’t earn the numbers she needed to dethrone Hisa and her campaign off the bracket. Our winner today earned herself an absolute vote count of 334; about 62 more votes than Kuuko.

Over in Group D3-2, results of the all-KugiRie showdown had Louise come out the victor over Hayate’s Nagi. This year is Louise’s last chance at Saimoe glory, so its great seeing her still alive in this contest. She earned a total vote count of 306; roughly 37 more votes than her challenger.

For today’s matches, I’ll be lending my support for both Yayoi and Hinata — although I am predicting Ws for the Astarotte and iM@S camps tomorrow. We shall see.

    1. Shocking upset in Block D, to say the least.  Many reasons can be attributed to Nagi’s downfall: she’s the only one of the Kugimiya knights to have another year, it can be a tactical vote by team Saki because Nagi is a huge threat, there can be a backlash from winning the silver medal twice, or it can time to try somebody new to assassinate others.  Whatever the case, a glimmer of hope has arrived for teams Idolmaster and Ro-Kyu-Bu on the other side of Block D.  This is only Nagi’s second time in her five years not to make a block final (2008 was the other).  Hisa also advances eliminating the last alien in play, so now at least 3 blocks have a Saki member in its final.
This is the only bye day for the mahjong team in round 3, so let’s look at the other major teams active.  In round 1, Idolmaster #2 Miki knocked off Ro-Kyu-Bu #1 Tomoka.  Depending on who you side with today, either beware of a counter upset if you support Idolmaster #1 Chihaya, or hope to score a come-from-behind victory if you like Ro-Kyu-Bu #2 Hinata.  With the golden opportunity that opened and the previous fight, fake votes may surface.  As the last survivor for team 765, Chihaya should continue onward.  Lotte is on the weaker half of Kugimiya fighters, and with Cure Peace having an improbable run into round 3 as the leader of Smile Pretty Cure, she’s the sentimental favorite.  However, Lotte’s strength overall helps anyone against team Saki as more confronations between them loom over the horizon.

    2. Omg, so happy that Louise won! I think she deserves it. I love her more than Nagi and it’s her last year. With this, Nagi is the 3rd of the 5 J.C. Staff tsunderies (Shana, Louise, Taiga, Nagi and Aria) to be knocked out.

Also, why are Saki characters this powerful?! I don’t remember Saki being such a popular anime.
