「Saimoe ‘12」 “Groups E & F – Day 2″ ~ Third Round Results

Winners: Yuu and Kirame.

Group E3-2 Results:

  • 1位 350票 Matsumi Yuu @ Saki: Achiga-hen – Episode of Side-A
  • 2位 197票 Charlotte Dunois @ IS – Infinite Stratos Encore: Koi ni Kogareru Sextet

Group F3-1 Results:

  • 1位 299票 Hanada Kirame @ Saki: Achiga-hen – Episode of Side-A
  • 2位 271票 Funami Yui @ Yuru Yuri

Both Charlotte and Yui were outplayed by the Saki combo we witnessed yesterday.

Yuu easily crushed Char’s spirits by dominating the battlefield with her SS-tier prowess; earning herself a total vote count of 350 — a whopping 153 votes more than her competition. She will face off against Sanya in the Block “E” finals.

As for the Yui versus Subara match, this graph should pretty much explain the outcome. Kirame pulled in 299 total votes — around 28 votes more than Yui. Our winner today will have to bump heads against S-tier comrade Kuro in the Group “F” finals.

I’ll be supporting both Nodocchi and Meat here today. Good luck to your picks.

    1. There was an obvious fake vote jump at around 2:00 local time for the two non-Saki people, but the two newcomers were not fazed.  As the tank was the lowest ranked of the five people from the Side-A bracket, Kirame needed all the votes she can get to eke out the victory over Yui.  With Subara’s victory, team Saki has achieved another new record as the first anime team to ensure more than one quarterfinal spot in the same year (and at five different entrants overall with one Elite Eight berth), and they can extend that team record to three spots after tomorrow’s matches go as planned.  Yuu follows her sister into the block finals, where next round her match is ahead of Kuro’s instead of after.  Infinite Stratos finishes with a dozen victories over their two-year frame, two-thirds of them from their top two seeds Charlotte and Houki.
Block G is now down to team Ghostory against team Saki, and the match between their higher-ranked fighters is on today.  The Ghostory group cannot afford to wait until tomorrow, because they reason team Saki still has some bodies to spare while their ace Hitagi has to most likely win twice in a row against the mahjong warriors to get their Elite Eight they coveted two years ago.  Block H may witness Mio’s farewell concert (I’m not holding out much hope for a third K-On! season), but Saint Chronica is also down to their last member and Sena may be vulnerable.  It will be interesting to see who Shana’s supporters want to back, because Mio may be easier to knock out, while Meat has a big negative modifier in, well, meat.  How likely is a double oppai vote (Nodoka/Sena) going to be, considering the 2ch crowd’s penchant for flat chests as status symbols?

    2. For my b-day, I’m picking Ms. strawberry milk and Ms. Shimpan.  But if I get some meat with my milk instead that will be OK as well.
