  1. With the way the final few duels have gone, it has become problematic for a non-Puella Magi to surpass one hundred votes lately. Most of Tsukiko’s support has really declined as she faced Kyouko last night—going down from 252 to 86 is definitely abnormal no matter where in the tournament the decline happens, but for this happen in a duel has solidified the stranglehold that the four strongest quarterfinalists have on the overall result.
Ruri was one of the quarterfinalists two years ago who witnessed the power of a Puella Magi head-on, and now history may be forced to repeat itself. If Kuroneko does not defeat a Madoka here, then it may confirm that this year’s victor is a Puella Magi. It happened in 2011, and if the audience wants to avoid this repeated result (like a majority of people want), the supporters must vote for the gothic black cat to get the upset.
Like the rest of the Puellae Magi, Madoka is boosted by the movie’s showing at just the right time. As she now faces an OreImo representative for the second round in a row, the pink archer knows that this duel will be much closer, with this potentially being the last meaningful duel for the light novel team.
To set up another duel between Puellae Magi, my preference of Madoka should advance barring an upset by the strongest resistance fighter still remaining.

  2. Even though Madoka is popular, at least she’s justly popular; I hope she thrashes that character who’s main fanbase are the people who can’t read the title of a LN or Anime.
