“Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo” – Anime Announced

According to the official website, an OAD adaptation of Miki Yoshikawa’s gender bender-comedy manga series, 「Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo」 (山田くんと7人の魔女 / Yamada and the Seven Witches), has been green-lit for production. The news arrives as the initial animated PV reached a milestone of over 1-million views earlier today. Further details will be available on this year’s 33rd issue of Weekly Shounen magazine — on sale July 16th.

The 13th volume of the Yamada-kun manga series is expected to be shipped on July 17th, 2014. It first began serialization in Weekly Shounen magazine in December 2012.

Ryuu Yamada is a second-year student at Suzaku High. Ryuu is always late for school, naps in class and gets abysmal grades. His life is a dead bore. The beautiful Urara Shiraishi, on the other hand, is Suzaku High’s brightest student. One day, without explanation, their bodies are swapped! Ryuu ends up in Urara’s body, and Urara in Ryuu’s.
