On his blog earlier today, program designer ZUN announced plans for the fifteenth official game in Touhou Project series, entitled 「Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom」. A trial version is expected to be released at this year’s Reitaisai event; taking place on May 10th. The full game will be completed by this summer. Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and Reisen will all be playable.
Earlier this weekend, Tasogare Frontier updated the official website to 「Touhou Shinkirou ~ Hopeless Masquerade」 (TH13.5) to reveal more playable characters for their upcoming 2D doujin fighter. These include Byakuren Hijiri, Mononobe no Futo, Toyosatomimi no Miko, Nitori Kawashiro, Koishi Komeiji, Mamizou Futatsuiwa, and Hata no Kokoro (available in future patch).
Earlier this weekend, the 14th official game in the Touhou doujin series, entitled 「Touhou Kishinjou ~ Double Dealing Character」, was announced by developer ZUN. As usual, a demo will be released at the next Reitaisai event, (May 26th) — priced at 300 JPY. Reimu, Marisa, and Sakuya (surprisingly) are all confirmed to be playable. No word on when the full version will be available.
Earlier this week, the doujin circle Manpuku Jinja released a new promotional video for the second episode of 「Fantasy Kaleidoscope ~The Memories of Phantasm~」 — a Touhou-based anime series. It promises to feature over 50 characters. The trailer also includes music by Yuuhei Satellite with Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets. It is available for view after the cut.
According to the official website for Anime Weekend Atlanta, Touhou Project creator ZUN will be attending this year’s annual AWA convention. In addition, voice actors Asakawa Yuu and Iwata Mitsuo will also be making a special guest appearance.
